Autocross Events:: Grid suggestions/questions
If we tried to work out some sort of cooperation, I think we'd have to be very careful about schedule conflicts. Otherwise, it might work.

How many races happen at TMS per year? I think you'd be more likely to get volunteers in town than TWS or such.

I'd work a race just to see some of those racers shagging cones

Anyone planning on attending the KC National Tour over Labor Day weekend?
http://www.scca.com/eventitems.aspx?item=225&event=13107&hub=3

Nice site, convenient hotels, food, interstate access etc. Consider attending to help them with their 1st national tour. A number of Midwest Region members came to our tour event.

Steve E

TX Region Talk:: July Swap Meet and Picnic
The picnic was as hot as expected but thanks to the tremendous response of the Texas Region we were able to raise $1500 for Harry’s recovery fund. Along with a pledge from Performance Speedtech to match the first $1000 we have achieved a grand total of $2500. Thank you to everyone for your support., your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Mike Sexton

Autocross Events:: Online Registration Worker Positions with [nh] are what???
correct the NH is for any one that has a worker assignment that is not tied to a specific heat. For instance being the Cheif of anything you will be listed as NH.

I was the cheif of timing for the las vegas region for many years (got them to finally change from just a timer and pen to axware)

Autocross Events:: Rookie going to the Nationals.....
well being a rookie novice last year I can tell you that getting the test and tune in is a great idea as that is what I did.

If in doubt just ask anyone walking by as everyone was very happy to help answer my questions. At one point I was walking around thinking "what the hell am I doing here" knowing that I am not a national caliber driver either and not being able to afford brand new tires to drive on.

I doubt you could really embarass yourself there as everyone was in our shoes at one time and the only way to get better is to drive against better drivers

As far as hotels go being in a streetable car pretty much gives you the option to stay any where. I stayed where I could afford for the week of being there
