Dave Hutter / F-Stock

Dave Hutter only started autocrossing in 1989 in a Shelby Charger, but has been into motorsports all his adult life. Dave later campaigned a 1985 Mustang 5.0 LX in F/Stock. Some of Dave's accomplishments follows:

1992 Central Florida Champion in F/Stock
1992 Florida State Champion in F/Stock
1993 Central Florida Champion in F/Stock
1993 Third place National tour event in Boston in F/Stock
1993 First place Rochester, NY in F/Stock
1993 First place Buffalo, NY in F/Stock
1996 Florida State Champion in Sport Trucks
1996 SFSCCA Class Champion in Sport Trucks
1996 Gulfcoast Autocrossers Ltd. Class Champion in C/Prepared
1997 State Champion in Spec Racer Pinto

At this time Dave devotes his free time to Gulfcoast Autocrossers Ltd. in the capacity of President and charter member. Also Dave is the GCAC Spec Racer series founder and director. A series open to anyone qualified to autocross at GCAC. Dave started the class to help promote inexpensive but highly competitive autocrossing to the open public. As of today two Spec Racers cars are in the series, a 4 cylinder automatic Ford Pinto and a 5.0 liter V8 automatic Mercury Capri. Both were built by Dave Hutter Motorsports with the help of several sponsors and fellow club members. Although assembled for maximum endurance and ease of operation, these cars sport race suspensions and click off respectable times on hard compound street tires!

On a typical event these cars run continuously from 10:00am to 5:00pm with an hour break for lunch! Driving talent seems to run in Dave's family. Dave is the first Champion of The Spec Racer Capri class in 1998 and his wife Susan is the 1998 Spec Racer Pinto Champion.
